Shoplifters • Harvey Nichols


To promote the Harvey Nichols Rewards App, I worked with adam&eveDDB to create this commercial that used real-life in store cctv footage of shoplifters. 

Working with Anne Perri at Work Editorial we sequenced the footage that follows the pattern of scheming, stealing, legging it and, ultimately, getting caught. Once the edit was in place we tracked animated faces to the perpetrators that both preserves their identities and also embellishes the emotional arc of the film.

It was well received by the advertising community winning many awards including 6 British Arrows awards and taking the Grand Prix at Cannes Lions in 2016. Later it would be featured in Danny Boyle’s 2017 film ‘T2 Trainspotting’.
